Cercetarea arată că creierul "super înaintașilor" produce în continuare mulți neuroni

Conform unui studiu publicat astăzi în Nature, adulții ale căror creiere continuă să producă neuroni în mod eficient par să aibă o memorie și o funcție cognitivă mai bune comparativ cu cei în care această capacitate scade. Studiul a analizat probe de creier de la donatori decedați, variind de la tineri adulți până la "super înaintași" — persoane de peste 80 de ani cu memorie excepțională.

Cercetarea sugerează că aceste persoane în vârstă reușesc să mențină un nivel înalt de producție neuronală, ceea ce le-ar putea conferi avantajele cognitive de care beneficiază.
