Salvamont and border police officers participate in a search and rescue operation for a man of Ukrainian citizenship who has been stuck in the Maramureş Mountains for three days due to health problems. According to Salvamont Maramureş representatives, the rescue team is looking for a 44-year-old Ukrainian man who has been stranded in the mountains for three days. The Romanian authorities were alerted to this case by the man's wife, who called 112 and requested help for her husband. The man also has medical issues.
A team from Salvamont Maramureş, along with officers from the Poienile de sub Munte Border Police, have met in the village of Repedea and will climb the mountain to rescue the Ukrainian citizen," stated the members of Salvamont. At the time of reporting this news, the operation is in progress. Just yesterday, Salvamont Maramureş announced the successful rescue of two men, aged 30 and 31, who had gone missing from Ukraine on April 16th. Both were handed over to the ambulance and SMURD teams.
